Hi, I'm Niamh, a voice over artist based in London and I am represented by the lively individuals at the outstanding agency Yakety Yak.
First though, you might be wondering, "How on earth do you pronounce her name?!" If you're Irish, or have a friend with the same name, this will be a breeze for you. However if you're unfamiliar with Gaelic, you may well be thinking: "Nee-ya-ma-huh?" Well, you'd be wrong my friend! Very simply, it's 'Neeve'. Or if you feel up to a challenge, you could also add a very slight lilt in the middle: 'Neeyuv'. "What? Why? How??" The Gaelic alphabet doesn't have the letter 'v', and so 'mh' or 'bh', replace it.
Much like 'ph' in written English does for 'f'. Easy!
So now you're an expert in Irish pronunciation, and you've seen and heard a selection of my work, why choose me to be the voice for your project?
In short, I'm highly-skilled and have more than a decade's experience behind the microphone. I can give you energetic, street, up-beat, even straight-up bonkers. Or I can give you more intimate, sensitive and empathetic if that is what is required. Do you need someone who can produce a variety of accents? Have you already got characters who need bringing to life? Or do you just need something simply functional? Adapting to your needs is my forte. My repeat clients and major campaigns are testament to all of the above.
I relish creating and developing different voices, playing with pitch,
tone, and meaning. Give me the direction and I'll deliver.
I make magic happen at the mic.
What are you waiting for? Give Yakety Yak a shout, book yourself some studio time, and let's get recording.
